Control Yuan launches public online system of political donation records
Following amendment of the Political Donation Act in 2018, the Control Yuan has established an online system of political donation records. The general public can use the system to check the income and expenditures of political parties, groups and candidates without having to go to the CY to make an inquiry in person. The system will help facilitate public accountability and transparency with respect to political donations, which is in line with the goals of the Sunshine Acts.

Ombudsman of the Republic of Sierra Leone presents annual report
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Leon Jenkins-Johnston Esq. presented the Ombudsman's Annual Report for 2018 and the first half of 2019 to His Excellency, Rtd. Brig. Julius Maada Bio at State House. In 2018, 532 complaints were lodged in his office of which 330 were concluded.

Plans to expand human rights activities of Public Defender of Rights
The Office of the Public Defender of Rights has launched a four-year plan focused on human rights protection. The plan will allow the Ombudsman to focus even more strongly on particularly vulnerable groups, such as children, people with disabilities and people whose freedom has been restricted.

2019 Report on NPM Acitvities
The Report on the Performance of the NPM for 2019 contains an overview and analysis of the state of human rights of persons deprived of liberty and with restricted freedom of movement. During the reporting year the Croatian People's Ombudswoman acted in a total of 203 cases, issuing 35 warnings, recommendations and suggestions.

Following Protector of Citizens’ intervention, professional employees in social welfare centers engaged
Acting on the Protector of Citizens’ recommendation on emergency employment of professional employees in social welfare centers throughout Serbia, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy obtained the consent of the Government of Serbia to employ a total of 187 new professional workers on an indefinite-term basis, 108 of whom will be employed in social welfare centers.
