Anna Šabatová becomes new Ombudsman
Mrs Anna Šabatová, who was deputy to the first Czech ombudsman Otakar Motejl (2001-2007) and the head of the Czech Helsinki Committee from 2008 to early 2013 - will take up the post as new Czech Ombudsman after being sworn-in by Chamber of Deputies chairman Jan Hamacek on the 18th February.

Meeting of the Visegrad Group Ombudsmen (V4)
On 12-14 June, 2014 the Human Rights Defender of Poland was hosting the annual meeting of the Visegrad Group Ombudsmen (V4).
