BackPursuant to Article 14.4 of the IOI By-laws “A regular meeting of the Voting members (the General Assembly) shall be held in conjunction with each International Ombudsman Conference, at least every four years.”
At its recent Namibia meeting, the IOI Board confirmed the Office of the Ombudsman of Thailand as the host of the 11th IOI World Conference, which will be held in Bangkok (Thailand) from 14 – 19 November 2016. Despite some concern about the current political situation in Thailand, the IOI Board of Directors reiterated its full support for the Office of the Ombudsman as it is seen as a fundamental building block in rebuilding democracy. The IOI kindly invites you to save the date for this important event.
The IOI General Secretariat will soon contact the wider membership to request feedback on topics of particular relevance and importance to our members. We would highly appreciate your active participation in this upcoming survey as this will allow us and the conference host to ensure that the content and program of the 11th World Conference will provide the greatest value and possible benefit for our members.
