AUSTRALIA | Acting Ombudsman Arrangements

Penny McKay has been appointed to the role of Acting Commonwealth Ombudsman after the former Commonwealth Ombudsman, Michael Manthorpe PSM, retired on 30 July 2021. Penny commenced as Deputy Ombudsman on 10 August 2020. Louise Macleod, currently Senior Assistant Ombudsman, will serve as Acting Deputy Ombudsman in Penny’s place. These acting arrangements will continue until a new Commonwealth Ombudsman is appointed on a permanent basis.
