BackWithin a recent meeting the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) agreed on intensified cooperation.
To establish European standards in the field of human rights, Ombudsman Valeria Lutkovska, and the Director of ODIHR Janez Lenarčič agreed on the importance of an educational program for advocates and judges. Therefore Janez Lenarčič promised to render assistance in organizing this program. Lenarčič also proposed to conduct a meeting of international and Ukrainian experts on issues of functioning of the national preventive mechanism in order to exchange the best practices.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska and Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Janez Lenarčič agreed upon further fruitful cooperation.
