Ararteko has finalized the conclusions of the IOI international workshop that it hosted in Vitoria-Gasteiz on 16-17 May 2018 and is making them here available to all IOI member institutions. The topic of the workshop was "Good Environmental Governance: The Role of Ombuds Institutions in Protecting Environmental Rights".
The conclusions offer insights into the areas that were discussed in the keynote speech, as well as in the various working sessions. The workshop offered the participants the opportunity of debating important issues like the role of Ombuds institutions in facing current environmental challenges or in enforcing measures to preserve natural resources and biodiversity.
The workshop participants are also kindly asked to provide Ararteko with their feedback on the development of the different aspects of the workshop by filling in (in a week’s time) the satisfaction survey under this link.
A selection of the workshop photos is available under the following link.
Finally, upon the request of some participants, Ararteko would like to propose sending an email to all participants with their personal details (name, surname, institution, position and email) during the next few days, with the view to maintain contact and be able to establish future relations. Therefore, if someone would have any objection to this initiative, they are kindly asked to inform the organisers at their earliest convenience.
