BackThe IOI General Secretariat is pleased to announce the results of the recent election of two Asian Directors on the IOI Board of Directors. We congratulate Mr Ajaz Ali Khan, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Pakistan, and Mr Somsak Suwansujarit, Chief Ombudsman of Thailand, on their election.
The Asian Region of the IOI recently held an electronic ballot to fill the two vacant positions on the IOI Board of Directors and Asian Voting members in good standing actively participated in this election.
The Secretariat is pleased to announce that Mr Ajaz Ali Khan, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Pakistan, and Mr Somsak Suwansujarit, Chief Ombudsman of Thailand, have been elected as Asian Directors. They will join Ms Hyun-Heui Jeon, Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) Korea, and Mr Shahnawaz Tariq, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh for the Protection of Women against Harassment at the Workplace (Pakistan) to represent the Asian Region on the IOI Board.
Due to a recent change in the IOI By-laws, adopted during the IOI General Assembly in May 2021, the Asian region is now represented by four members on the IOI Board.
