The IOI and the Catalan Ombudsman organize an international workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights - challenges, functions and mechanisms”, to be held in Barcelona from 2 – 3 March 2020. Registration is now open!
With the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a starting point, the changes that our societies undergo due to technological innovation and developments need to adapt the conceptual frameworks and norms without forgetting the concepts of ethics and solidarity and other values deeply rooted in our societies.
The great opportunities and challenges in the application of artificial intelligence in our daily lives must be accompanied by specialist agents control to safeguard and protect the rights of specially the most vulnerable people but globally of everyone.
This workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights” aims at facilitating dialogue and meeting points between operators and large companies, public administrations, Ombudsman offices and civil society in order to get everyone together to design the human rights base on the rules that will guide us in the years to come.
