COVID-19 Challenges for Health Systems
Ombudsman of the Province of Santa Fe - Argentina, Raúl Lamberto, kindly informs that the publication "COVID-19 Challenges for Health Systems" is now available.
The document was prepared on the basis of the dissertation in the Webinar "Challenges of COVID-19 for health systems", held on May 25, 2020 and organized by FIO and the Network of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights of the American Continent (RINDHCA), and addresses the challenges facing the health system in Argentina and in the province of Santa Fe, in a review of the infrastructure necessary to face the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital equipment , human resources, access to diagnostic tests, protection elements, essential drugs, the new regulations on the matter, and the State's response to emergencies.
The publication gives an account of the right of access to health in Argentina in general and in the province of Santa Fe in particular, the characteristics of the provincial health system and the measures adopted during the pandemic.
