TAIWAN | Control Yuan releases annual report 2011

The 2011 report contains the summary of the Control Yuan's work including handling complaints and assuring good governance, sunshine acts, auditing, human rights protection, and international engagement, demonstrating Control Yuan's commitment to serving the public.

In 2011 the Control Yuan hosted its first ever Australasian and Pacific Ombudsman Region Conference (APOR). Due to this important event the instiution increased the dialogue among international and domestic ombudsman and human rights organizations.

In order to establish a a more efficient government and a cleaner political environment, Control Yuan will continue committing to rectifying governmental deficiency, enhancing administrative efficiency under the principles of independence and impartiality; promoting the ideas of the International Covenant on Human Rights to protect the public assures Taiwan Ombudsman Wang.
