BackAccording to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the General Inspection Organization (GIO) of Iran and the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman, and also the mission of the GIO to Denmark to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation, a distinguished delegation of the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman came to Iran in May 2015.
The goals of them meeting was to provide achievements and best practices of Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman in the sphere of handling complaints, fighting maladministration, financial abuse and also preventing corruption. During several meetings with the officials of the judiciary branch of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President of the General Inspection Organization (GIO) and its deputies and director generals shared their institutional experiences with the colleagues from Denmark and it was agreed to convene mutual technical seminars and workshops in the near future.
