WORLD | Detention Monitoring Tool for NPMs

The Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) and Penal Reform International (PRI) jointly developed a detention monitoring tool which provides analysis and practical guidance to support monitoring bodies, including National Preventive Mechanisms (NPMs).

The tool seeks to support monitoring teams in developing their monitoring methodology, informing planning for their annual programme of work, helping to prepare for specific visits and informing their reports and recommendations.

The resource contains thematic papers and factsheets which are available at www.apt.ch and www.penalreform.org.
