IOI | Director of the Fundamental Rights Agency Michael O’Flaherty visits IOI Secretary General Günther Kräuter

On 14 July 2016 the Director of the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) Mr Michael O’Flaherty met with IOI Secretary General Mr Günther Kräuter in Vienna.

After a short presentation of the International Ombudsman Institute, the main intention of the meeting was to explore possibilities for cooperation between the FRA and the International Ombudsman Institute.

To improve the human rights situation, in particular with respect to the protection of refugees as well as Ombudsmen under threat, is of mutual interest to the two organisations and concrete projects on these topics were envisaged for future cooperation.
