Europe | European Ombudsman re-elected

Mr. Nikiforos Diamandouros was re-elected European Ombudsman by the members of the European Parliament on 20 January 2010 by 340 votes out of 648. After his re-election Mr. Diamandouros ensured that he was very grateful for this vote of confidence in his work and that he was looking forward to continue his efforts for the benefit of European citizens.
