The State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel and the IOI invite you to participate in an international Zoom Webinar on the theme “Covid-19 and the Ombudsperson - Rising to the Challenge of a Pandemic”.
The Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges for institutions and organizations worldwide working to protect the rights of the individual, and in particular the rights of vulnerable populations. Ombuds institutions are no exception. This Webinar invites you to learn about the ways ombuds institutions across the globe have coped and are still coping with the enormous social and economic problems generated by the pandemic, and to share the experiences of your own institution.
By working together, we, the Ombuds institutions of the world, can rise to the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic!
The Webinar will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish, French and Arabic.
Pre-recorded video interventions will be shown in the course of the webinar. You are invited to send us interventions of up to 3-minutes duration in English, French or Spanish.
Kindly let us know by 2 November 2020 if you wish to contribute an intervention, and whether it will be in English, Spanish or French. Please notify us via E-Mail.
The interventions must be submitted by 10.November 2020.
