IOI/IRELAND | MoU signed between the IOI and the British and Irish Ombudsman Association

On 12 and 13 May 2016 IOI Secretary General Günther Kräuter attended the Annual Meeting and Conference of the British and Irish Ombudsman Association in Dublin and signed a Memorandum of Understanding. 

Over the last years the IOI has sought to strengthen the cooperation with regional Ombudsman networks and associations to make use of synergies. Therefore, Secretary General Kräuter took the opportunity during the conference and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the IOI with the current chairman of the Ombudsman Association Mr. Lewis Shand Smith. The MoU envisages mutual participation in conferences and meetings, study visits and training workshops and an exchange of information.

The British and Irish Ombudsman Association is a professional association for ombudsmen and complaint handlers, their staff and others interested in the work of independent complaint resolutions.
