UK | New Local Government Ombudsman appointed

Dr. Jane Martin has been appointed as Local Government Ombudsman. She took up her post in the Coventry office on 11 January 2010 joining the two other Local Government Ombudsmen, Tony Redmond and Anne Seex. Dr. Martin brings many years’ experience of local government and the wider public sector to the post. Dr. Martin was Director of Policy & Engagement and Deputy Chief Executive at the Local Better Regulation

Office. Prior to her move into the public sector, she had an academic career at the University of Birmingham and, more recently, was a senior research fellow in public leadership at Warwick Business School.
