Mr Lars Lindström, born 1949, has been elected Parliamentary Ombudsman by the Swedish Parliament as from 1 June 2011.
Mr. Lindström will succeed Ms Cecilia Nordenfelt, who took office as Chief Parliamentary Ombudsman of Sweden on January 3, 2011 after Mr. Mats Melin. Mr Lindström is at present Chief Judge at the Solna District Court, Stockholm County.
