Italy | New regional Ombudsman appointed for Lombardy Region

Lombardy's new regional defender is Carlo Lio, elected by the Regional Council on 3 May 2017. Carlo Lio will succeed Donato Giordano, who has served as regional Ombudsman for the past six years and whose term will expire in a few days.

Carlo Lio is the new Ombudsman of the Lombardy Region (Difensore Regionale della Lombardia). He was elected with 42 votes during the session of the Regional Council and appointed for a term of six years.
