CANADA | “Ombudsman and Legislation in Canada” book review

The Citizens’ Representative for Newfoundland and Labrador, Barry Fleming, conducted a review of the new book of Gregory Levine on “Ombudsman and Legislation in Canada: An Annotation and Appraisal”.

In the introduction of the book, the author Gregory J. Levine, notes that the text aspires to an analysis of the Ombudsman concept in Canada through the lens of the legislation. In his review, Mr Fleming notes that the author of the book compares Ombudsman legislation in Canada on the basis of different criteria such as establishment and functions of the ombudsman, powers of investigation or reporting.
