UK | Ombudsman Behrens receives Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Coventry University

Rob Behrens CBE, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Coventry University. Ombudsman Behrens is being honored for his dedication to resolution services with higher education and significant contributions within the field of international development.

The International Ombudsman Institute would like to congratulate Ombudsman Behrens, one of the world's leading Ombudsman, who can look back at a long and highly distinguished career, including in the transformation from apartheid to democracy in South Africa.

The threads woven through his time in public life are a passionate commitment to human rights, integrity, decency and a scholarly and searching intellect. He visited Ukraine in December last year to support democracy in the face of a brutal and unlawful invasion. He is the Vice President of the Europe Region of the International Ombudsman Institute and also a wonderful and dear friend.
