The Ombudsman Commission of Papua New Guinea presents its bi-monthly newsletter. Read about the highlights and activities within the Ombudsman Commission in the months of July and August 2021.
The newsletter reports that Provincial Health Authority Chief Executive Officers have been assigned “Category A” leaders. Pursuant to the country’s Leadership Code – designed to promote accountability, transparency and compliance – the Ombudsman Commission will now also have oversight over the actions of the Health CEOs.
The Ombudsman further takes the opportunity of this newsletter to inform about a case, in which worker compensation was paid after a 15-year delay, after a complaint was lodged with the Ombudsman commission.
