BackOntario Ombudsman André Marin and his team presented “Sharpening Your Teeth” in French for the second time on January 23 and 24, 2012. "Sharpening Your Teeth" (SYT) is an advanced training course for ombudsmen and administrative watchdogs, and SYT training has been delivered to oversight agencies and investigative professionals in Hong Kong, Ethiopia, Switzerland, Brazil, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago, Northern Ireland, Thailand, Morocco, the U.S. and Bermuda, as well as at the International Ombudsman Institute headquarters in Vienna.
The most recent training was done in Montreal at the invitation of the Quebec Ombudsman/Protectrice du citoyen, Mme. Raymonde Saint-Germain. The two-day course, known as “Aiguisez-vous les dents” in French, followed on the heels of a French "Aiguisez-vous les dents" training in November, at the Protectrice du citoyen's Quebec City office.
