CANADA | Ombudsman of Ontario received two prestigious academic awards

The I.O.I. congratulates the incumbent of its Ontario member institution, Ombudsman André Marin, for being chosen as the recipient of two distinguished awards recently.

On September 7, 2011, Mr. Marin received the Order of Merit award for exceptional  alumni achievement  from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section. 

On November 1, 2011, Mr. Marin was awarded the the A.D. Dunton Award of Distinction from Carleton University.  The A.D. Dunton Award is Carleton University´s highest alumni honour, given annually to a graduate in recognition of outstanding achievement and contribution in their chosen field.
