BackThe Portuguese Ombudsman released its fifth newsletter informing about the office's activities in November. According to the newsletter, the Portuguese Ombudsman as the National Preventive Mechanism visited the Azores between 13 November and 14 November 2014. In this capacity, the Ombudsman has personally visited Prisons and Public Security Police Commands (Comandos da Polícia de Segurança Pública).
The Portuguese Ombudsman furthermore received the Mozambican Ombudsman and its adviser within the scope of the cooperation between the two institutions.
From 26 November to 27 November 2014, the Portuguese Ombudsman as the National Preventive Mechanism visited Madeira. In this capacity, the Ombudsman has personally visited Prisons and Public Security Police Commands (Comandos da Polícia de Segurança Pública).
