KENYA | Ombudsman presents Newsletter for April-June 2022

The Office of the Ombudsman of Kenya has published Issue 5 of its newsletter, which covers the most important activities, achievements and developments in the period of April-June 2022.

Issue 5 of the Ombudsman’s newsletter informs – among other – about a digital public complaints system, which was launched by the office in May 2022. The new system will improve complaints management and allow the public to lodge and monitor their complaints online.

The Newsletter reports about a presentation made by the Ombudsman before a Parliamentary Committee on the draft Access to Information Regulation. After the Access to Information Act was enacted in Kenya in 2018, the Office of the Ombudsman introduced a taskforce to come up with draft regulations, which have been subject to the participation of various stakeholders.
