BackIrrigation & Power Department, Government of Sindh, paid service dues to widow of a government employee on the orders of Mr Asad Ashraf Malik, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh (Pakistan).
According to the details, the widow of a deceased junior clerk of the Irrigation & Power Department approached the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh for release of benevolent funds, group insurance, funeral expenses and financial assistance. The department was delaying the legitimate payments.
Due to intervention of the Ombudsman, process and procedure of scrutiny by the concerned department were expedited and all the service dues in respect of the deceased were paid forthwith to his widow.
The complainant appreciated the role of the Ombudsman in taking prompt action and providing speedy justice to her.
