IOI | President participates in the Australian Embassy Speaker Series on the occasion of his official visit to Thailand

As part of his official visit to Thailand, IOI President Chris Field PSM was delighted to be invited to participate in the Australian Embassy Speaker Series. President Field was joined by his friend and colleague, Ombudsman of Thailand, Songsak Saicheua. The Embassy Speaker Series program is designed to deploy Australian expertise on particular topics and develop further institutional links between Australia and Thailand. It is an outstanding initiative by the Australian Embassy.

Ombudsman Saicheua and President Field participated in a facilitated discussion about the role of the Ombudsman in the promotion of good governance, the rule of law and human rights, followed by a Q&A session.

“I sincerely thank the Australian Ambassador to Thailand, Her Excellency Angela Macdonald PSM, for inviting Ombudsman Saicheau and I to this highly enjoyable and valuable event; one that furthers the wonderful relationship between our two countries” said President Field.
