Chris Field, President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Western Australian Ombudsman, provided an address to ceremony guests on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Office of the Croatian Ombudsman.
“As President of the International Ombudsman Institute it is my great privilege to extend to my valued colleague Ombudswoman Einwalter my sincerest congratulations on the occasion of a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her esteemed Institution. It was a great honour to address ceremony guests this morning on this important occasion” said President Field.
“The institution of the Croatian Ombudsman embodies, in all of its work, the very essence of the Paris Principles, the Venice Principles and the United Nations General Assembly Resolution, The role of Ombudsman and mediator institutions in the promotion and protection of human rights, good governance and the rule of law. I sincerely thank the Croatian Ombudsman for being a champion of these principles for three decades” said President Field.
President Field told ceremony guests: “Hvlah for your support of good governance, human rights and the rule of law. Hvlah for your cooperation with your European and international colleagues and what you do for the Parliament and citizens of the great nation of Croatia”.
