Awareness Campaign at Union Council
On 22 December 2023, two teams of the Provincial Ombudsman Secretariat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited the Union Council (UC) Esa Khel District Peshawar regarding an awareness campaign about the role and responsibilities of the Ombudsman Institution.
The campaign was divided into two sessions i.e. Male and Female. Male team comprises Mr. Shahid Hussain, Senior Advisor, Muhammad Kamran Ali, Assistant Director/Focal Person and Mr. Irfan for assistance attended the male session in the UC arranged by the concerned UC Nazim, while the Female team comprises Ms. Irum Farooq, Investigation Office and Ms. Samra Iqbal, Investigation officer attended the female session in the said UC.
Both the sessions were held simultaneously in two separate places. Participants were briefed about the role and responsibilities of the Ombudsman Institution. They were briefed about how to lodge complaints, what will be the requirements for processing of their complaints. They were also briefed about the jurisdiction, functions and mandate of the Institution. The public appreciated the steps taken by the Ombudsman Institution regarding the awareness campaign about the Institution. At the end of the session 20 complaints were registered on the spot from both the sessions.
