According to its Monthly News, the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) will lay a report regarding the National Health Service for Scotland as well as a report on 59 decisions on all of the sectors under its remit before the Scottish Parliament.
In July the SPSO has received 448 complaints, of which 460 complaints were determined. As a consequence, the institution gave advice on 276 complaints and presented 111 recommendations.
The "Monthly News" includes further remarks on the just recently published Annual Report 2013-2014 of the Ombudsman institution as well as investigation reports and housing decisions.
As outlined in the Monthly News, representatives of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman met with the complaints improvement group of the Scottish Government to discuss the SPSO's complaint handling-, reporting- and monitoring mechanisms and to propose changes to the complaint management approach adopted by the Scottish Government.
