AUSTRALIA | Reflecting 10-year term as Victorian Ombudsman

In this fiftieth year of the Victorian Ombudsman, current Ombudsman Deborah Glass reflects on her time in the role in a recent conversation with the Victoria Law Foundation.

During her term, the Ombudsman's suite of training workshops has grown to three:

  • Good complaint handling
  • Dealing with complex behaviour
  • Conflict of interest risks.

And the office has expanded its education and prevention work into the webinar space, including: collaborating with IBAC and VAGO on 'Integrity Matters' webinars, as well as demystifying Ombudsman processes in the 'Behind the scenes...' webinars.

You can listen Ombudsman Glass’ conversation with the Victorian Law Foundation in the 'In Conversation' series, which is hosted by the Victorian Law Foundation, features some of Victoria’s most interesting public legal figures discussing critical issues, while also getting to know more about the people who lead Victoria's justice system.
