The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman just released the latest case summaries from West Yorkshire, London, Yorkshire, Essex, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Hertfordshire. These case summaries will also be published on the website of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman website, where members of the public and service providers will be able to search them by keyword, organisation and location.
The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman investigates complaints about government departments and other public organisations and the NHS in England. The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman works with consumer groups, public regulators and Parliament and uses learning from cases like these to help others make a real difference in public sector complaint handling and to improve services.
The Report is the third in a series of quarterly digests of summaries of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman`s investigations. The short, anonymised stories it contains illustrate the profound impact that failures in public services can have on the lives of individuals and their families.
