Stephen Thomson, Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong wrote an article on “The Public Sector Ombudsman in Greater China: Four ‘Chinese’ Models of Administrative Supervision”, which was published in the Journal of International Law of Penn Law, the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
In his article, Mr Thomson compares the models of public sector Ombudsman institutions in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
He analysis such features as institutional function, constitutional and legal status, relationship with the executive branch, substantive powers or effectiveness.
