BackA complainant approached the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, stating that the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) denied the refunding of his deposited amount, which he had paid for purchasing a plot in Karachi through open auction. As per terms and conditions, the complainant had deposited 50% of the total amount. But due to financial constraints he could not pay the balance 50% of the cost and applied for the refund of the deposited amount. CDGK did not honour its own terms and conditions and kept on delaying the case on flimsy grounds. This attitude caused hardship and financial loss for the complainant.
Mr. Asad Ashraf Malik, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh (Pakistan), issued directives to the City District Government Karachi for immediate refund of the paid up amount to the complainant. In compliance with the directives the payment was made to the complainant.
