The Open Government Partnership Summit 2015 “Building robust accountability systems through OGP - Learning from autonomous accountability institutions” is taking place at the Palacio de Minería, Salón Maestros, on Thursday, October 29 from 11:00am - 12:00pm. The event will also include a Panel on Accountability Institutions organised by the IOI and the World Bank.
The international experts Rosita Agnew (European Ombudsman Office), Raúl Ferrada (Council for Transparency, Chile), John Fresly (Information Commissioner, Indonesia), Amelia Jiménez Rueda (General Comptroller Office, Costa Rica), Renzo Lavin (Civic Association for Equality and Justice) and Marcos Mendiburu (World Bank) will be discussing the role of accountability institutions in advancing open government values and processes. The speakers will analyse
- Experiences and good practices of accountability institutions that promote OGP principles
- How accountability institutions have engaged in OGP (from consultation, to implementation and evaluation of national action plans)
- Entry points for enhancing the role of accountability institutions in national OGP processes
