In its efforts to further increase the regional impact of the IOI, the members of the IOI Board of Directors decided at their virtual Board meeting on 18 May 2020 to continue the IOI regional subsidy programme for the membership year 2020/2021.
The overall sum of subsidies to be released in 2020/2021 amounts to 42,000 Euro. The amount will be split equally between the regions and will take into account that no subsidy granted should be less than 2,000 Euro. IOI regional subsidies can be used to either finance a project entirely or to co-fund the implementation of a broader project. Projects that involve several IOI institutional members are particularly welcome.
The timeframe for the project should be appropriate to the project activities and should not exceed 24 months. Subsidies will be paid directly to the subsidy recipients after project implementation and submission of a project report including a detailed budget overview. In special cases, an advance payment of up to half of the subsidy can be made to facilitate project implementation. Please note that the IOI Audit Guidelines will be applied to the 2020/2021 tender. A copy of these guidelines can be downloaded from the IOI website.
Institutional members wishing to apply for a regional subsidy are asked to fill in the IOI subsidy application form (see attachment) and submit their project proposal to the IOI General Secretariat by 14 August 2020.
As in former years, the Regional Presidents will be asked to shortlist the most promising projects conceived by members of their regions. The final decision will be made by the IOI Board of Directors.
