From July 7 to 10, the Québec Ombudsman played host to two delegations from the Ombudsman of the Republic of Djibouti and the Office of the Ombudsman of Haiti.
The guests of the Ombudsperson and President of the Association des ombudsmans et médiateurs de la Francophonie (AOMF), Raymonde Saint-Germain, attended various training sessions and discussed the functions and responsibilities of ombudsman institutions.
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Djibouti, Souleiman Miyir Ali, and Jude Jean Pierre, Atty., the promotional director of the Office of the Ombudsman of Haiti, led their respective delegations.
This visit was part of the AOMF program to establish partnerships so that ombudsman institutions can share information about good practice in subjects of mutual interest.
