CANADA/ONTARIO | The Watchdog – February 2013

The Office of Ontario Ombudsman André Marin published its monthly Newsletter “The Watchdog”. The February issue informs about the Ombudsman’s investigation into the Ontario’s services for adults with developmental disabilities.

Furthermore, the Newsletter follows-up on the Ombudsman’s October Report which called on the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services to take concrete action to support police officers across the province who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, risk of suicide and other forms of operational stress injuries.

The Ontario Ombudsman investigates public complaints about Ontario government agencies. His office oversees more than 500 provincial ministries, agencies, tribunals, boards, commissions and Crown corporations.
