BackAndré Marin, the Ombudsman of Ontario, announced that registration is now open for the latest edition of “Sharpening Your Teeth”, his office's training course for administrative investigators, taking place on 21st to 23rd January 2013. Sharpening Your Teeth (SYT) is a world-renowned course for ombudsmen and administrative watchdogs, focusing on conducting systemic investigations. This course will take place at the state-of-the-art Ontario Bar Association Conference Centre in downtown Toronto.
SYT has been delivered to oversight agencies and investigators in more than 200 organizations across Canada and around the world. The intensive course teaches advanced investigative techniques, using the Ontario Ombudsman's office's proven models for conducting systemic investigations. Other course topics include interviewing witnesses, writing and publicizing reports, using new technologies and social media, and more.
