WORLD | VIIIth Congress of the Association of Ombudsmen and Mediators of la Francophonie

On 25-28 November 2013, the VIII^th Congress of the Association of Ombudsmen and Mediators of la Francophonie (AOMF) took place in Dakar, due to the invitation of the departing president and mediator of the Republic of Senegal, Serigne Diop, on the issue: “AOMF, 15 years: Institutional mediation and crisis”.

On the occasion of the General Assembly, the new Bureau has been elected. Raymonde Saint-Germain, Protectrice du Citoyen du Québec, has been elected President of the AOMF; Marc Bertrand, Médiateur de la Wallonie, 1^st Vice-President, and Mohamed Rukara, Ombudsman of Burundi, 2^nd Vice-President. Baba Hakhib Haidara, Médiateur du Mali, and Dominique Baudis, Défenseur des droits in France, have been elected Treasurer and Secretary General.
