IOI | Visit to the Jordan Ombudsman Bureau

IOI Treasurer Alan N. Lai and IOI Secretary General Peter Kostelka represented the IOI during an informal consultation workshop hosted jointly by the Jordan Ombudsman Bureau (JOB) and the World Bank in Amman on 3 and 4 April 2012.

This workshop aimed at supporting the World Bank and JOB in their joint efforts to develop a capacity-building strategy for the IOI member institution. It was a very productive meeting offering an open and constructive climate for a comprehensive exchange of ideas and a fruitful discussion on future options of cooperation. Peter Kostelka expressed his appreciation of how much had been achieved by the JOB in such a short time since its establishment and was delighted to meet the dedicated staff during an informal visit to the JOB office.

On behalf of the IOI both Treasurer and Secretary General expressed a willingness to support the JOB in its capacity building efforts looking forward to a close and fruitful cooperation between the JOB and the IOI in general and within the framework of eventual World Bank initiatives in particular.
