AORC-IOI | Webinar on "Mediation / Alternative Dispute resolution"

You are cordially invited to a Webinar under the theme “Mediation / Alternative Dispute resolution”, which will be organized by the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC) in collaboration with the IOI on 17 January 2023.

Some complaints of injustice caused by maladministration against government departments cannot be turned into legal action as they may be too trivial for the courts. The complainant however, still seeks a remedy. In these instances, the dispute could be resolved by an alternative dispute resolution process. Alternative dispute resolution offers the parties a safe place for reviewing options and enables them to develop their own settlement terms in a mutually agreed format.

In collaboration with the IOI, AORC’s next Webinar, "Mediation/ Alternative Dispute Resolution", will provide the skills to resolve complaints through mediation/alternative dispute resolution.

The Webinar will be held on 17 January 2023 at 10.00 am (GMT+2) via Zoom. Speakers at this webinar will inlcude:

• Mr. Chijoke Nnanna Ibeku, Founder/Principal Partner of Three C's Met International Institute Of Mediation Negotiation, Counselling, and Conciliation, Nigeria; 
• Hon. Gabriel Savino, Ombudsman of Santa Fe, Argentina; 
• Mr. Chidy Martins Lasbery, Vice President in charge of Marketing and Membership Drive of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), Nigeria
