AORC | Webinar on "Promoting Human Rights: The Role of Ombudsman Institutions"

Join the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC), the research and training arm of the African Ombudsman and Mediators' Association (AOMA) for the thought-provoking webinar on "Promoting Human Rights: The Role of Ombudsman Institutions" on Tuesday, 26 March 2024 at 10 am (GMT+2), organised in collaboration with the International Ombudsman Institute.

This webinar aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the vital role played by Ombudsman institutions in safeguarding human rights. Through focused presentations, participants will explore the historical evolution, legal framework, and mandate of Ombudsman institutions in combating human rights violations. We will also discuss key principles guiding their work, including accountability, transparency, and access to justice.

By fostering dialogue and sharing best practices, we aim to empower participants to advocate for human rights within their spheres of influence. 

Enhance awareness and understanding of Ombudsman institutions' crucial role in promoting and protecting human rights worldwide.

 

At the webinar, simultaneous interpretation will be available in French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic.
