The National Investigation Symposium is a joint initiative of the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption, the NSW Ombudsman and the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) NSW.
This is a biennial event, with the 11th symposium to be held in Sydney in November 2016.
On 9 and 10 November, we have organised an impressive program of speakers and panels on a range of topics relevant to complaint handlers and investigators.
We are also offering workshops on Friday 11 November on:
- administrative law
- planning and conducting investigations (fact finder)
- interviewing techniques
- report writing
- motivational interviewing.
This program is well suited to staff who work within Ombudsman’s offices in Australia and beyond. We hope to welcome many of our International Ombudsman Institute colleagues to Sydney in November 2016.
