The African Ombudsman Summit will be held from 25 to 26 February 2014 in Johannesburg and is being hosted by the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC), on behalf of the African Ombudsman and Mediators’ Association (AOMA). The Summit’s theme is “Strengthening Good Governance in Africa through the Role of the Ombudsman”.
The aim of the Summit is to explore the contributions Ombudsman institutions make to the consolidation of democracy and good governance, therefore contributing to peace and stability on the continent. It will also provide a platform to engage on strengthening the concept of Ombudsmanship in Africa.
