angola | Angola Holds Lecture on Supervision of Maladminstration and Defense Of Human Rights

The President of the Group of Portuguese-Speaking Countries Ombudsman and National Commissions and other Human Rights Institutions of the CPLP, Antónia Florbela Rocha Araújo, considered on Wednesday, 26 October 2022, "the defence of Human Rights" as a challenge of all nations during the opening speech of the lecture that Angola held under the theme: From the Syndication of Maladministration to the Defense of Human Rights, which took place in the hall of the working room of the Constitutional Court.

The event, which was attended by Representatives of the Ombudsmen of the CPLP Network and Human Rights Institutions, had as speaker the Human Rights Expert, Mr. Miguel Menezes Coelho, Representative of the Ombudsman of Portugal, Lúcia Amaral who addressed the role of the Ombudsman's Office in the personal or electronic reception of complaints, highlighting the strategy of communication of the Ombudsman's decisions as an essential element of its activity.

Representatives from Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe and the heads of the provincial services of the Angolan Ombudsman's Office took part in the presentation from the of Group of Portuguese-Speaking Countries Ombudsman.
