AFRICA | AOMA holds 4th General Assembly and 1st Bilateral Conference with AU in Ethiopia

The Ethiopian Institution of the Ombudsman (EIO) is hosting the African Ombudsman and Mediators Association (AOMA) - African Union (AU) 1^st Bilateral Conference & 4^th General Assembly from 4 to 7 November 2014 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the African Union (AU) hall.

The Conference and General Assembly will be opened on 4 November 2014 at 9:00 am at AU hall. H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome, President of Federal Democratic of Ethiopia, will deliver keynote speech. The opening ceremony will also be attended by more than 39 AOMA member Countries Ombudsmen, Senior Government Officials, Ambassadors, Diplomats, invited dignitaries, and guests.

This event is said historical for it is the 1^st of AOMA-AU bilateral conference after the assignment of "Observer" at AU. EIO's Chief Ombudsman, H.E. Fozia Amin is the 2^nd Ombudsman attributed Ombudsman as an Observer at AU. H.E. Chief Ombudsman Fozia Amin, as a hosting Institution Leader, is expected to deliver a press release on Monday 3 November 2014, prior to the start of Conference.
