ITALY | Everything set for the II Italian Edition of the International Ombudsman Conference to be held in Cassino on September 11-13, 2024

The II Italian Edition of the International Ombudsman Conference will take place in Cassino, Italy, from September 11-13, 2024. This globally significant event has attracted an impressive participation, with 268 delegates registered from around the world. 

The delegations include Ombudsman, their office staff, sector experts, and academic and institutional authorities, representing Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Participating countries include: Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cameroon, Cyprus, Colombia, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Gabon, Gambia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Malta, Morocco, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Senegal, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Spain, Sri Lanka, United States, Turkey, Tajikistan, and Ukraine.

The outstanding organizational success and exceptional participation highlight the international community's recognition and respect for Italian civic protection efforts. This event represents a significant opportunity to elevate the global perception of citizen rights protection and to exchange practices and experiences with other global offices.

This year’s innovation includes a dedicated day for university students. Currently, 53 young participants from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Nepal, Pakistan, Cameroon, Malta, Moldova, the USA, Spain, France, Serbia, and Italy will take part. This initiative offers young people a chance to engage with civic protection and take a leading role in the discussion on citizen rights.
