PAKISTAN | FEDERAL TAX OMBUDSMAN PERFORMANCE REPORT 2011

Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Muhammad Shoaib Suddle published a performance report on the work of his office in 2011.

FTO was able to improve its performance in many fields. On the one hand, FTO could raise the amount which was refunded to Pakistan’s taxpayers. On the other hand the Federal Tax Ombudsman also could enhance the performance of his office and the processing time of complaints. While the average time in which a complaint was decided in 2010 was 67 days, the average was improved to a 60 day standard.

Additionally the FTO was mentioned within Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index which indicates this institution as the cleanest in Pakistan. Therefore FTO was an important part regarding Pakistan’s increased rating within this index.
